How removals and storage works
Quote
Tell us what is going into storage, for roughly how long, and where it is going afterwards. One quote covers all three.
Pack and list
Furniture is wrapped and boxes are labelled, and everything going into storage is listed so you know what is where.
Store
Your belongings stay in storage for as long as you need, usually charged by the week or the month.
Deliver
When your new home is ready, we bring everything over, place it in the right rooms and rebuild what we took apart.
Two ways to store your things
Container storage
Your belongings are loaded into wooden storage containers that are kept in a secure warehouse. A 10ft container typically holds the contents of a one-bedroom flat, and a 20ft container a two to three-bedroom house. Visits are usually by appointment.

A unit you rent and can visit during the site's opening hours, which suits you if you will need things while they are stored. We can move your belongings into a unit and back out again.

Removals and storage: common questions
How much does removals storage cost in Woking?
Published guides put container storage at around £20 to £50 per container per week, and self storage units in London and the South East at around £80 to £400 a month depending on size. Your quote covers the move into storage, the storage rate and delivery to your new home.
How long can I keep my things in storage?
Anything from a few days to several months. Tell us your expected dates and we quote for that period. If your completion date moves, storage can usually be extended.
Can I get to my belongings while they are in storage?
With container storage, visits are usually by appointment because the containers are sealed and stacked in a warehouse. If you will need regular access, a self storage unit is the better choice, and we can move your things into one.
Are my things insured while in storage?
Most storage sites require stored goods to be insured, either through their own scheme or your home contents policy. Your quote explains how your belongings are covered while stored, so check it before you book.
Can you deliver from storage to my new home later?
Yes. When your new home is ready we bring everything over, place it in the right rooms and rebuild any furniture we took apart.
